What kind of world are we currently breaking down – and building? The exhibition Young Danish Art. Forecasting the Future explores different predictions for the future as they are presented in Danish contemporary art.
The exhibition focuses on some of the political and cultural changes that are high on the agenda within contemporary art. Ten artists take measure of our time and gaze into the future. Their art explore national and global themes such as working culture, questions of belonging and climate crisis that will affect our future societies and prospects.
The exhibition presents a selection of artists from a young generation born in the 1980s. Showing a variation of works such as installation art, sculpture and film, the exhibition shows how young contemporary artists take innovative and playful approaches in their art, experimenting with new materials and forms of expression as they examine and question the major issues of our time.
