This project works with the idea of potentiality and humans’ possibility to stop doing something - and in this specific occasion: to stop writing. With the main character from Herman Melville's short story 'Bartleby the Scrivener' (1853) as pivotal point, I attempt to go in dialogue with art theory and fiction writing by interviewing and involving the Swedish art theorist Jan Bäcklund and the Spanish writer Enrique Vila-Matas. Extracts from the two interviews is then edited and placed together with object, light, text and more abstract video work, which also deals with text's possibility and questions the author's starting point and end.
